Funny story about the Public House, which is where the NY ND Alumni Club have their game watches. Mrs Irish and I were in Manhattan over Thanksgiving and needed a place to watch the first half of the Stanford game, so we went there. We ended up standing next to a great bunch of guys and gals from Connecticut (author's note: that's the first time that phrase has ever been written) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Of course, none of them were ND and the game watch was a bunch of people sitting at tables. While the staff were all kitted out in ND gear, there was very little "Irish" atmosphere. The place is as a big as a house. Maybe that was my issue. I dunno.

Huge respect for his not saying Public House for a good gamewatch locale in the city.

Incidentally, in Brooklyn is a totally-non-sports bar called The Exley, founded by an ND alum who wanted not only to start a classy cocktail and craft beer bar but also to have a good place to chill out with the projector and watch games. Friendly staff and delicious alcohol.

That's awesome! My friends and I made wrestling films for art class a few times. I starred as "Trailer Park Trash" sporting a scruffy face and holy jeans with a Hanes white T shirt. I'm sure tucked away in someone's basement is an old VHS of us acting like idiots.
