The cocktail was invented here. There are bars (e.g. Tujagues) and restaurants (e.g. Antoine’s) that pre-date the Civil War as going concerns, largely unchanged. The Ramos Gin Fizz is another drink. Absinthe. Which wasn’t invented here, but come on.
