“I stand by the comments that I made earlier today. I will be at Oklahoma. Any reporting to the contrary is completely unfounded.”

While it’s still not a flat out ‘no’ (because things can always change), it’s a bit stronger in language and from the OU Athletic Dept, so it probably carries more weight. While I wouldn’t call it definitive/unequivocal, it is more of a denial than what he said earlier.

He knows exactly what he needs to say to firmly close the door: “I will not be coaching at Notre Dame. I am neither interested nor willing. I am the head coach at Oklahoma and will remain the head coach at Oklahoma as long as they want me here, period.”

The more the questioner tries to paint him into this corner the more obvious it becomes that he’s not willing to go there.
