And we were apparently the freshman class that made Fr. Carey decide he'd been there long enough. (I just learned that this weekend. No joke.)

I just can't fathom such treatment of Alumni. Sean, did you know that in our day, most of the residents of Alumni would walk across campus to NDH since it was clear to them that SDH was our turf? Sure, it was nothing great my frosh and soph year, but jr and sr year, we got the revamped SDH. It was like our own little bit of paradise.

I also can't fathom encouraging Alumni to date.

Sean, thanks for the info. I am, apparently, old.

I guess that's nice charity of you guys and all, but a different way of approaching it than we had. We preferred to beat them while they were down (which was all the time).

The Dillon bathrooms were actually re-done way back in 2006 when I was a senior, along with those horrifying windows that freaking refused to budge. Remember those? You'd push with all your might for like 30 seconds, and they would finally SLAM closed, cut you severely, and give you tetanus.

Also, the Big Red Dog dance has been going on since at least 2005. Yeah, we're supposed to be rivals and everything, but how else was Mini-Dillon supposed to get any dates?

Darn yall beat me to the Ghostbusters thing. Darn work internet monitors!

Anyway, as a subway alumn, I cant really appreciate the change aspect that you refer to regarding the facilities on campus. But looking at your pictures things have progressed really fast since I was there for the UM(s!) game. I dont think the connector was there on the Law building. Maybe, but I dont remember seeing it.

However, I have been acutely connected to the traditions, atmosphere, and team since about 1988 and I totally agree with you on the changes we've gone through there. I remember growing up being proud of being an ND fan because no one was gonna stand up to us. We were THAT badass back then. Then, Lou left, and we castrated ourselves with Davieham. I wasnt ASHAMED to be an ND fan at that time, but I found out for the first time what it was like to actually have to defend one's affiliation. It's finally starting to turn around. I'm no longer having to defend my allegiance, but I am lobbying for the respect of the program. It's only a matter of time before we regain our fanhood swagger. Give it another year or so and people will FEAR us again.

M Jelic, the area isn't necessarily reserved right next to the stadium, but you need to have a parking pass. These are obtained in various ways, but they essentially have to be purchased from the school - they're in very high demand though, so somewhat tough to get your hands on this late in the game. They can be bought second-hand though - we usually get them from friends and such.
