ray15, I wouldn’t go looking for a lot of intelligent commentary around here. That sort of thing takes time and craftsmanship. I don’t have that. I just have a domain name.

And you have terrible reading comprehension. I already pointed out that I wasn’t picking on his looks. I was just clarifying the subject. I wanted to make it clear that the Michael Rosenberg portrayed in that picture is the one that should avoid the non-idiot line.

Uh, domer.mq, no I’m not looking for moral high ground. Just intelligent commentary. If I see a comment about Charlie eating cheeseburgers, I pretty much figure the quality of discussion isn’t going to be too high. Same with comments on a writer’s looks. If you have something intelligent to say to refute someone, then say it. If you don’t, then what the heck, make fun of their looks to your little heart’s content.

Anybody that can write a hack job of a piece like that and use Notre Dame to up their hit rate/ad sales can be attacked. He’s using ND, we use him back. I’m pretty sure he’s okay with it, considering otherwise he’d be completely anonymous in the world of journalism. I mean, read his drivel. It’s horrid. As is your face.

Further, we didn’t include his photo to say, “haha!Â He’s geeky looking!”Â I’m a geek.Â We include his photo so we can be very clear about which Michael Rosenberg we speak.Â Â We don’t want to just go about insulting every Michael Rosenberg ambiguously.

And I stand by my statement that this particular Michael Rosenberg would have gained a lot of character if someone had just punched him in the face when he was young.

Hmmm … make fun of a sportswriter because he looks like a geek? Gosh, that’s as funny as all those fat jokes about Charlie.

As for the criticism of Charlie and the football program, the only way to stop it is to win. Win big. Then you can be seen as arrogant, or humble, or brilliant or whatever, it ain’t going to bother you.
