This is one of the craziest recruiting days in recent memory. Cal’s recruiting ace leaves, and effects the recruitment of both Armsteads, Shaq Thompson and others. Florida loses a coach who was the main recruiter for Brian Poole, which might put him back in play for the Irish. Then, to top it all off, on the day Kiel is supposed to report to LSU, he apparently no shows–and doesn’t tell anyone where he is or where he is going. I’ve come to expect some of this stuff–but all in one day this is just wacky. |

Man…the Internet is just buzzing with all kinds of predictions on Gunner Kiel…you’re right SDI…this is one if the craziest days in recruitment. If the Armsteads and Kiel head to SB in the end…this would match the Lynch/Tuitt reversals…and I figured that was never going to repeat. |

Okay…you’re not going to believe this but a current ND student over at http://www.notredamefans.com has posted the following on Gunner Kiel: “He is currently on campus and will room in O’Neill Hall.”

I believe it. Was hearing the same things as I was writing my post. Then the Observer published confirmation as well citing a hall staff member. Here’s hoping that we get some more good news today. |

If we give up a scholarship for the older armstead, and take one away from a 5th year senior, am I the only one that’s going to find that a bit weird? I mean a Notre Dame man for 4 years, like cwynar, traded out for a God-Forsaken ex-trojan? Not to mention the “undisclosed” health issues that held him out. I wonder if that was USC trying to force a redshirt. Hmm. |

Agholor, Darby, Armsteads, Wright…. these would be nice. What’s the latest numbers crunch? Do we have room for all these guys? I could stand to lose goodman, hasn’t done much in 4 years. What’s the rest of it looking like? |

Sorry, don’t know if this is against the rules but heres a good numbers deal. |

Lifetimesubwaydomer, I wouldn’t worry about the ‘undisclosed medical reasons’. It seems like something funny is going on at USC in regard to that. They refused to let another kid play for medical reasons last year, and he transferred to Georgia. Jarvis Jones led the SEC with 13.5 sacks this year, one year after his mysterious medical reasons. |

Bryan Driskell over at ISD had an article on the recruiting numbers and noted an unsubstantiated rumor that Cwynar is considering not coming back for a 5th year. If true…it would remove the negative/weird sentiment among some fans on accepting a transfer from Armond Armstead if it prevents Cwynar from returning. |

What do you guys think about the Yuri Wright situation? Expelled from school for tweets, trying to find a new school to finish at so he can graduate on time. Does ND still go after him? Or do BK and staff stop the recruitment and avoid the headache that will ensue? Personally, I think if Wright chooses ND he’ll be fine (no twitter, around good influences, etc.), but another part of me doesn’t want to hear all the haters talking about how ND offered a scholarship to a kid who got expelled from a Catholic high school. |

I think ND is probably done with Yuri Wright. It doesn’t sound like this is an isolated instance, and if that’s the case, this is probably not the right kind of kid we want to be looking at. |

I agree that the chances Yuri’s Irish are extremely slim. |

This is the first ive heard that there are other ‘incidents’ with Wright, but if that’s true than maybe dropping him is a good idea but i’d still say go after him. We have a numbers problem in the secondary that we will need his help with very soon and of all places, I think ND could set him straight. |

Just FYI, apparently after Yuri gave up twitter, some fan of some program picked it up. Now, on behalf of Yuri, he’s claiming that ND is still recruiting Yuri. Just know that it’s not actually Yuri. |
