That really sucks. Love the Dillon Pep Rally and sad to it go non-official.
Hopefully the silver lining is they have more leeway in their skits now?You must be logged in to reply to this topic.

This is a microcosm of the ND “tradition” debate. The Dillon Pep Rally as a tradition goes back decades. The Dillon Pep Rally on Friday nights, replacing the Joyce Pep Rally as a tradition, is not that old. I graduated in 2000 and it was always on Thursday. Shades of ND Nation getting up in arms for Kelly changing up some of the things Weis did up in here…
When I’ve seen footage of it on Youtube and stuff, it always looks unwieldy with a zillion people on the quad, no seats, no bowl so people in the back can’t see, crummy sound system, etc. It’s probably much better off as a smaller event for campus residents only. You must be logged in to reply to this topic.

I guess I’m on a strange opposing side of this. I liked that there was a shift to a pep rally that wasn’t a Disney-type production. In the end it’s all good for the students still, but I thought it was great to extend that to the rest of the ND fanbase.
Oh well, note to self, try to get there on Thursday if I’m at a home opener. You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
