Recruiting is moving fast and furious as of late. In the past ten days Notre Dame has gained five commitments, all on defense, bringing the class of 2015 to 13. It seems as though Irish defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder is working a lot of overtime these days.
The five most recent commits are as follows:
Brandon Tiassum, 3-star defensive tackle, Park Tudor School, Indianapolis, Ind.
Tiassum, 6’4″, 296 lbs. His stats on Hudl.com show him with a 30″ vertical, 295 lb bench press and 500 lb squat.
Micah Dew-Treadway, 3-star defensive end, Bolingbrook High School, Bolingbrook, Ill.
Dew-Treadway, 6’4″, 269 lbs. His stats on Hudl.com show him with a 275 lb bench press and 450 lb squat.
Nick Coleman, 3-star corner back, Archbishop Alter High School, Kettering, Ohio.
Coleman, 6’0″, 170 lbs. His stats on Hudl.com show him with a 500 lb squat.
Elijah Taylor, 4-star defensive tackle, Moeller High School, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Taylor, 6’3″, 275 lbs. Finished his Junior season with 68 tackles and six sacks.
Shaun Crawford, 4-star corner back, St. Edward High School, Lakewood, Ohio.
Crawford, 5’10”, 175 lbs. His stats on Hudl.com show him with a 4.40 40 yard dash, 4.00 shuttle, 36.5″ vertical leap, 10.54 100m and 49.0 400m.
Apparently the departure of quarterback recruit Blake Barnett has not slowed the Irish recruiting momentum one bit! With 13 commits Notre Dame is more than half way to their estimated numbers of 22-24 in this 2015 class.
Cheers & GO Irish!
