And just like that, the 2013 ND regular season is finished.
Here are your @andrewwinn stats for this week’s #HLSrecap — 437 tweets from 145+ contributors, with 24 first-timers making the cut this week. We now have over 440 unique contributors to at least one #HLSrecap this year.
As you know, each week we present the following highly-coveted (and yet totally arbitrary) accolades:
- Brick Helmet Stickers
- #HLSrecap MVP
- #HLSrecap Top 25
Here now is our Athletic Director, @FakeSwarbrick, who is actively pursuing Jon Gruden to fill the vacant Offensive Coordinator position.
Brick Helmet Stickers
Rather than focus on Saturday night, it is probably appropriate to talk about the Sunday morning I spent feeling shame over my behavior. As I mentioned, you never want to watch a Notre Dame game at a friend’s home — with children, and dogs, and liquor, and none of them are Notre Dame fans.
I drank the liquor, kicked the dog, and swore in front of their children. Probably none of that was as confusing as trying to explain #HLSrecap while drunk on gin. “No really, guys. The coach’s nipples. It’s a THING. YOU HAVE TO WATCH! Someone get me Nina’s number….”
So Sunday morning was tough. Add to that the loss to Stanford and the relegation to some lame bowl game played in a city no one wants to visit, and all I was left with was looking forward to #HLSrecap. You guys did not disappoint.
@OptimisticDomer — a great follow! This guy is really hitting his stride as the football season comes to an end. Hope he’s gonna be around for basketball season.
@LluckoftheIrish — she’s always great. Saturday she was extra great.
@IrishMoonJ — sucking up works! But he also was my personal MVP for the Stanford game. I was late in following this account. My loss.
@GoIrishGlory — He started out drunk and incoherent, and the reality of the pending loss totally killed his buzz. Too bad.
@Dixie_Domer — week after week after week…..
Now, onto the quantitative measures. This is just as it sounds — whoever has the most number of tweets that make the final cut will be awarded the #HLSrecap MVP Award.

This Week’s Top #HLSrecap Contributors
I’m not sure why I didn’t do this before, but here are your other top contributors for the week. I’ll do this more often — full/cumulative season rankings below.
#HLSrecap Top 25
As a reminder, @andrewwinn awards one point for each tweet that makes it in; 1/2 point if someone else retweets/quotes/modifies your tweet and it’s included. The Twitter Ranking Of Leprechaun Legion (T.R.O.L.L.) Scale is awarded arbitrarily.
No T.R.O.L.L. Points this week because….well, see for yourself.
