Alabama.
Or Oklahoma?
Hrm. What to do, what to do? On one hand, you've got The Tide, who, after last year's dismantling of Michigan State in their bowl game, look poised to have their ship come in, and on the other hand, you've got Oklahoma, looking about as dominant as you'd expect a perennial contender to look when matched up with a team that somehow lost its way and stumbled into a BCS bowl game.
And still, on the other hand, you grotesque freak of nature, you've got the opportunity to really make this poll stick out. You could take any one of the 102 teams not yet selected in this Roulette Ranking and stick them right here.
I will say this about both of the "leading contenders" for the #2 spot, go ahead and name their starting QBs.
Exactly, for Oklahoma, it's Landry Jones.
But for now, even Nick Saban can't name the starting QB for the Tide. And while we have no doubt that Saban's talent at the QB position is just fine, we will always live by the philosophy that if you've got 2 starting QBs, you don't have 1.
So, like we said at the start...
Alabama.
