One of the things I love about this team are the varied personalities of the players and staff. Elston will chew you out and crack a joke a minute later, Kelly is a perfect politician, Diaco is the most intense/philosophical guy in the world, Alford is the best man you've met (or havent had the pleasure to yet)...Crist is the leader, Nix the crazy/funny huge guy, Cave is a rock, KLM is the teddy bear that will rip your face off, Teo is the flyin' hawaiian with a million stories, and on and on and on...
It really makes for a unique team, and it makes for some fun reading. Two great articles along these lines just came out, so just putting up a quick post to point you to them.
First, Coach Diaco goes Zen in a great article on where things stand for his D today. As you'll remember from my Fantasy Camp posts, Diaco is THE MAN, and his awesome balance of pure enthusiasm and philosophy makes for an electric, easy-to-follow leader. He's also fun as heck to read about. So, go do that.
And second, another great personality - the man himself, LNIII. He has a nice writeup as well that focuses on his transformation from wide-eyed (and overweight) frosh to trim, lean and mean (and much more comfortable) sophomore. It's a really great story, and speaks to the transformations that happen for these young men as they grow into...well, men.
Enjoy this team. I am loving where we're at right now people!

I love Bob Diaco. They guy is simply awesome. He looks so damn young for a coordinator though. My wife saw him in an interview last year and asked me who the handsome defensive player was, and I had to correct her and explain that he is a defensive coach. Ha.
On a side note, I’ve noticed from that article, and some other comments I have seen that they are trying Troy Niklas at OLB. That’s a big friggin’ outside linebacker at 6’7″ 250 lbs. He is listed as a DE in the roster, but with that kinda size and athleticism this guy could be anything.
He could grow into a 6’7″ 310 lb. DE, or a 6’7″ 330 lb. offensive tackle, or just stay a freakishly sized OLB. Thats exciting.

Maybe even into a 350 lb. cornerback.

That’s an interesting article about LNIII as well, and shows the impact nutrition and a training table can have on an athlete.
I heard LNIII recently went to a local steak house here in South Bend and ate four 72 ounce porterhouse steaks within an hour. He spent the first 45 minutes having sex with a waitress.

JAll jokes aside, LNIII is a beast. I cannot wait to see him flush qb’s out of the pocket and completely shut down the inside running game of every ND opponent.
Having said that, LNIII does not lose wieght, unwanted fat falls off of him by way of fiat. He speaks, and it is so.

Someone once asked Chuck Norris what his opinions were about the cult following he’d garnered and im kind of curious if LNIII has any opinion about his? Surely he knows.
There really isnt anything Irish Chocolate doesn’t know. It’s pretty easy to be as smart as he is because he doesn’t have to read books, he just pounds on them until they give up their information.

As fun as it will be to see LNIII dominate the middle, holy crap look out for Stephon Tuitt. If he plays as mean as he looks, enemy linemen will be pissing themselves. The man is huge and angry.

That’ll be one way to keep a continuous flow of fertilizer on ND turf. Tuitt doing that, LNIII making the other end go…
