Looooooooong time readers will recall that we had some ads before. We've got them again. And believe me, despite the recent addition of Poot to the team, we're not going to be raking in enough money to even buy a decent haircut every month (Biscuit likes those high-priced salons in LA). But we will, over the next few weeks, be experimenting with ads, trying to find the right balance between obnoxious and revenue-generating. Please be patient. We really appreciate it. We'll figure it out, and then, hopefully, we'll be able to do things like get a better hosting provider, maybe officially host a tailgate every blue moon, license a few helpful services, etc...

My only advice as a fan is to use “page loading times” as a key factor for evaluating different ad technologies.
Many a good blog sites have had the great experience compromised by ads that prompt script error messages, run videos w/ audio while ignoring user preferences, and overall long load times.

Yeah, nobody cares. This is America, and its still a free capitalist country for now. You gotta get that paper. Putting ads on things that no one will really pay attention to is about as Amurican as it gets. Look at Nascar.
I just really hope you put up some of those creepy/slutty/awesome ‘meet someone online near you who can be your adult friend’ kinda ads. Those are my favorite.

I won’t mind the ads. You guys have a lot of white space around the edges here. Just as a favor, when you test the layouts, try to make sure that they don’t screw up the format for smartphones. I hit your site on my phone more often than a traditional computer, so when things get whacky, it’s quite a chore.
…maybe think of designing a special mobile page too?

I hope there was more to your decision amking process of Crist’s ranking than the Navy game. The game’s starting QB had nothing to do with the defensive impotence displayed therein, unless you are also docking the D’s leader.
Or tell it was late and you were drunk when you wrote the justification. I could buy that also.
