We don't post much about non-football sports on HLS...It's really nothing against those sports, it's really just a lack of bandwidth and time since we both spend so much time on Football (and in DMQ's case, everything else in the world he discusses on Twitter) and our day jobs.
That said, it doesn't mean we're not fans and that we're not supporting our other ND teams. And the ND Men's Hoops Squad deserves some props for their performance this year thus far. It's been impressive, to say the least, and the Men are now just 1 game back behind Pitt in the race for the Big East regular season crown with Louisville's OT victory over the Panthers. Just 1 game back behind a Top 5 Pitt team in the most competitive league in the nation, that's all.
Coach Brey has done a great job in pulling this team together and relying on a solid, consistent game plan and solid, consistent performances from his experienced team. This team should go into the Big East tourney with their best chance to win the league tourney, and should go into March Madness with a Top 10 ranking pending that BE finish.
Congrats to Coach Brey and the team for their success thus far, and how about we make a deep run and finish the season in amazing, blazing fashion, huh boys? Let's do it.

ps - yes, there are a lot of other sports where we're doing well that deserves props too. props to them too, yes yes of course!

March is about the time I start to care about bball. I’m not really a fan of the game, but like you guys, am happy to see the Irish succeed in any sport. Go Irish, Go Spurs!

Give yourselves some credit… you guys discuss more ND Hockey than I can find anywhere. Granted, it’s via “shouts” versus postings, but any attention on a niche sport at a football and basketball school is something.

Watched ND shoot Villanova off the court last night. Twenty 3 pointers for ND. Zow!
Would love to see both women and men BB go deep into tourney – both final 4? With hockey making frozen 4? Now THAT would be a great spring.

We are unstoppable when we’re spreading the floor and knocking down 3′s like that. Even the players had to laugh at how many shots kept going in.

Does the university get an allotment of tickets for the first rounds of the NCAA basketball tournament? Or do I need to start searching ebay when the games are announced?
