The accident this week at Notre Dame is awful. The mass held last night in remembrance of Declan Sullivan was beautiful. And anyone who knew the young man, or anyone on campus, really, are only beginning their grieving process. And we'd never pretend to know what Declan's closest friends and family are feeling or what they need. We, however, are in need of a laugh.

I've got 3 or 4 different pumpkin ales in my fridge right now, and while they're a completely perfect Halloween weekend drink, I also ran across this stuff at my local shop, and, well, sometimes you've just gotta trust your gut and your sense of appreciation for label design:

I loaded up last night with a six ea of Skullsplitter, Sierra Torpedo and a four pack of Druid Fluid, a barley wine that makes current ND football extremely tolerable.

I’ll actually probably save the Shipyard for Thanksgiving, as it’s really fantastic with a slice of pie and a cup of coffee. Yes, I said it, “with a cup of coffee.” I can triple-fist it.
The ubiquitous nature of the other two makes them far easier to drink “whenever.”

We are 2 points up on TULSA! Maybe the worst team we’ve ever played.

Daybreak, WMU was clearly worse than Tulsa. Purdue will turn out to be worse too, I think, although it’s impossible to say whether they were worse when we played them.

Respectfully disagree. Purdue would definitely beat Tulsa, WMU…toss up but I’d go with Western. Western would have been a lot closer but for some interceptions.
btw, Navy got destroyed by Duke yesterday.
