Friday Roundup: The “Time For A Laugh” Edition

The accident this week at Notre Dame is awful. The mass held last night in remembrance of Declan Sullivan was beautiful. And anyone who knew the young man, or anyone on campus, really, are only beginning their grieving process. And we'd never pretend to know what Declan's closest friends and family are feeling or what they need. We, however, are in need of a laugh.

The Roundup

And, uh, at the top of the hour... First, and foremost, if you missed The House Rock Built's latest foray into puppetry, then you may have missed their best work yet.

The wide receiver is actually lined up in the first row. There's no way they could use that alignment for the No Yard Hitch.

Hey, speaking of a hearty laugh... Have one right here as you read about Mike Locksley thinking he'll still have a job at New Mexico next year.

I, for one, welcome our robot tailgating overlords. We were never the type to shove a 60 inch tube TV into our car for a tailgate. We didn't have the space. We drove a Wrangler.

Spoooooooooon! No, Tulsa's mascot isn't The Tick, but it's pretty damned close. Also, Clashmore Mike's post on keys to an Irish win is worth the read, so don't just go there for the pictures.

Fake Punts and Field Goals: Daring. This? Not so much. Yeah.

The Beer

I've got 3 or 4 different pumpkin ales in my fridge right now, and while they're a completely perfect Halloween weekend drink, I also ran across this stuff at my local shop, and, well, sometimes you've just gotta trust your gut and your sense of appreciation for label design:

Fat Dragon Pale Ale

I'll let y'all know if my sense is any good.
