Sweet, sweet pickup! Davaris is a 4-star WR recruit and the #1 recruit in Illinois. He's had ND on top with Miami for a long time, and he pulled the trigger to take the ND class to 20 commits.
On Scout, Davaris is a 4-star and the #23 WR in the class, while on Rivals he's a 4-star and #15. At 6'3", 190 and with a fake-40 of 4.5, he's a prototypical guy for Kelly's offense. He must've seen the depth chart and thought 'hey man, I can catch a million passes for a million yards at ND'. Good thinking, kid. And welcome!
Go Irish! Beat BC!

??? If many more of the top kids on the Irish list decide for the Irish, will Kelly not bring back as many 5th yr. guys as expected to make oom for a larger class? It looks like there ae only two more spots, what if four more blue chippes decide for ND? What a nice problem.

This is where scheduling those big non-conference games pays off. Play Miami at soldier field, play Texas, play in Ireland, etc. I am sure recruits look at our tentative schedule for whatever years they plan to be here to see what games they could be part of, and it’s a lot more enticing than playing Florida State right now.
