History vs History: MSU

After the Skunkbears ND will face Michigan State, so out comes the ND history vs MSU history post.

It won't be pretty for Michigan State.

Once again, the ND Stats:

Overall Record: 831-285-41

Overall Winning Percentage: .736

National Championships: 13 (varies from 9 to 13 pending the source, but we go high-end here for obvious reasons, right?)

Bowl Game Appearances: 29

Bowl Game Record: 14-15

And onto...

Michigan State's Football History Summary:

Overall Record: 612-422-44. Compared to ND? Pedestrian.

Overall Winning Percentage: .588. Comparable to ND over the past 10-12 years, one of our worst runs ever.

National Championships: 2. It is hard to imagine a program that plants flags, hires John L.-let-me-slap-myself-Smith and rumbles when others plant flags on their turf ever coming close to winning a MNC, but they claim two. Fine. ND crushes them.

Bowl Game Appearances: 19. Again, a far cry from ND.

Bowl Game Record: 7-12. Wow, significantly worse than ND in post-season play. And ND isn't great here.

A landslide crushing for ND over MSU in the Tradition/History department. Let's replicate that 2010 style!
