Irish Versus Irish: The Top 25-21 Men on the Roster

Recently Keith over at the NBC Sports Inside the Irish blog posed a question to some ND football fans, myself included. To paraphrase, Keith asked us what our Top 25 ranking of Irish football players would look like. And he asked us to keep in mind that this was sort of a "power ranking" in which we weren't deciding on "importance" so much as "current displays of football playing prowess." So with that in mind, check out my submission of the 25th through 21st players on the Irish roster here along with thoughts from Keith, and ND bloggers representing UHND.com, ClashmoreMike.com, and RakesofMallow.com. I'll also quote myself thusly...

25. Duval Kamara, WR: The senior is only on the list at all because of what he did his freshman year.
24. Kerry Neal, OLB: Looked like a spark of hope in 2007's 3-9 campaign, and then he disappeared.
23. Dayne Crist, QB: This is low because he hasn't done anything -- yet -- and we enjoy meteoric rises.
22. Mike Ragone, TE: Tiiiime is no longer on your side...
21. Robert Hughes, RB: Had one of the very few 100+ yard rushing games on this roster -- three years ago.

So go check out Keith's feature, with the other rankings, and then let us know who you think should rank 21-25 here in the comments and/or over at Inside the Irish in their comments. Later this week, I'll add some flourishes to my arguments beyond the one-liners Keith requisitioned and may even reveal if you the readers or the other bloggers managed to get me to rethink my rankings. (I've got the entire 25 ranked and listed in my head already.)
