Last weekend, during the Blue and Gold game, former ND player and current ESPN personality, Mike Golic, wore a SoCal jersey most of the day (except while in ND Stadium) due to a lost bet with the co-host of his morning radio show, "Mike and Mike."
We'd like to know:
Were you offended by Mike Golic wearing a USC Jersey on ND's Campus Last Weekend?
- No. (84%, 157 Votes)
- Yes. (16%, 29 Votes)

Embarassed for him, yes. Offended, no. I’m glad he didn’t wear it in the stadium.

I’m a bit disappointed that Greenie would choose this as his punishment for Golic, because it really did do more than just embarrass Golic (which is the spirit of the bet). I wasn’t offended, but some folks were. I just don’t think it was the right venue.

Everything about The Mike & Mike Show offends every single one of my senses.

Offended is a bit strong, but I would say very dissapointed. He lost a personal bet, yet the results affected his representation as a Notre Dame alumn at the Notre Dame bookstore. Just not the right venue.

It’s something I would have done to my co-host, if I had a show. “Offensive” is a word I would reserve for the Mary painting that dude made out of poop. Remeber that? Or for the headline you used for the Koyack commitment. “Brings the noise”? Seriously? Golic promoted a book that is their show and this stunt is part of their show. It sucks that he did it, but it’s neither offensive nor disappointing in my mind. When ND agreed to let him promote the book on campus, they invited the circus, too. The disappointment, if any, should be directed at that fat moron for screwing his “sheet of integrity” for the eleventy billionth year in a row.

Golic is such a good-natured guy that I can’t understand anyone making a serious fuss of this. Besides, this is like Nixon to China: He can do it because no one could ever question where his heart truly lies.
