One Foot Down checks in with their response to our set of questions. And OFD has some serious Safety Concerns.
OFD also calls the defensive front seven "salty." You know what else is salty? Bacon. Which means the defensive front 7 will be awesome. OFD promises it. Much like bacon promises awesomeness and never lets us down.

I am surprised that no one has picked up on what I think is the greatest quote coming out of this spring. In the post Blue-Gold game presser, Kelly was asked if this is the most talented team he has ever coached. He answered “no.”
I hope that his point is that talent is not measured by potential, but by what you do on the field.

Yeah, it’s tough to tell whether that was a psychological deal to ensure that the kids’ heads dont get big (or shrink), ala his comments about Crist and Teo not being very good, or if he really meant it. I’d guess the former. Kelly isn’t blowing smoke up anyone’s ass on that team, that’s for sure.

I know sure I am reading a lot into his answer, but that won’t stop me. I think that what he meant was that this is not the most talented “team,” as opposed to the most talented group of individuals. Because a team is only as talented as its weakest member, etc.

that’s really nuanced. if that’s what he meant, he’s smarter than me (as you are for thinking of it)

Who cares about this ‘what he said vs what he meant’ junk. Did someone say there was BACON?
