Dying? Already dead? Because pretty soon you're going to die from smoke inhalation, as USC has been burning non-stop for 3 years and you do nothing.

How much smoke indicates fire already? The Reggie Bush allegations? The ones that just kept happening over and over and over and getting more and more obvious? The time where he brings an armed thug to a meeting isn't a tip-off at all? No? The minor violations? No, not enough? The Mayo stuff comes in? Okay, now you're 'looking into it' for over a year and nothing's happening? Now, Mcknight's thing? Where he's not traveling with the team because of his joy rides in a dealer-owned car? Is that finally enough for you to freaking do SOMETHING?
Maybe? I mean, c'mon, at this point it's just getting stupid.
Mcknight is literally following in Bush's footsteps - on and off the field. He's the Trojans' leader in the backfield. A dynamic runner. And off the field, he's taking advantage and getting the perks.
After including a few remarks about how Bush talked him into going to USC when he announced a few years back (which is a no-no, and is documented HERE), and after his recruitment warranted a little extra scrutiny, Mcknight is taking that advice to heart, apparently. You can't say he wasn't paying attention I guess.
I've been burned before (ha, pun!) in thinking that the NCAA was actually going to do something. At this point, I doubt anything will happen ever. But it doesn't make it right.

Nothing is likely to happen. NCAA does seem concerned with payoffs and excessive perks. If someone had taken a test or done a homework assignment for a player, watch out, its the death penalty. That’s considering the player is actually attending class, which the NCAA would ignore anyway. All you need to show is 6 hours a semester, tell the professor you did all the readings for your independent study class and its cool.
Rule of thumb for players; don’t attend class, therefore no homework/tests. Hence you can’t be accused of academic cheating, but take all the illegal perks you can, because the NCAA will not do anything, even if caught red handed e.g., Bush.
