Convict to Captain: A Michigan (Oh Yes They Suck) Story

The Biscuit - 1:15 pm

Kevin Grady will walk to the center of the field on Saturday, representing the Michigan (sucks) football team as its Captain on gameday. This is the guy that RichRod, oh-so-classy, chose as a captain for this game: a guy that just 2 months back was arrested for, and plead guilty to, a charge of DUI. And this wasn’t a slight buzz, where he was barely over the limit. This guy was blacked-out drunk, at 3.5 times the legal limit. How he didn’t get manhandled by the court is beyond me. Dude got off big time.

If I’m an ND captain tomorrow, after shaking hands, I’d probably drop a “do you smell the booze, ref?” just to be an ass. Because, c’mon.

At ND, when you break the law, there are consequences. Will Yeatman knows this well. Kevin Grady has learned one thing: that Driving Under the Influence isn’t a big deal. That if you’re a CFB player at Michigan (sucks) you can get away with pretty much anything, and you’ll still be Captain for the ND game in the Big House. He’s learned that responsibility means nothing, and I’m sure this will help his future none.

Shame on Kevin for driving drunk, shame on RichRod for letting the kid off the hook so easily, and shame on Michigan (sucks) for being an institution that lets convicts become captains, showing the world that it’s just fine to put lives in danger by drinking and driving.
