Browns QB Job is Quinn’s to Lose

domer.mq

The only thing more unreliable than springtime College Football Rumors is Pro Football Rumors, but this one is relevant to us because we sort of feel a bond with Quinn considering he was a big part of the reason we at HLS once said, “Hey! Wouldn’t it be fun to start a blog so we can document and celebrate ND’s return to the elite!?” Anyway, here it is.

I asked, “Whom do you think will wind up starting at quarterback for the Browns?”

Without hesitation, the answer was, “Brady Quinn.”

The person went on to say that the Browns had two “very subtantial” trade offers for Quinn — each involved a No. 1 draft pick — and declined to trade him.

So good luck to Brady. It sure would be swell if he could win the job, become a phenom, and then spend a lot of time shaking hands of recruits while on the sideline of ND games every now and then, be it a couple of years from now or a decade from now.

Thanks for the post Domer. I’ve followed the Quinn situation pretty closely ever since the Cutler trade talks began and I’ve been a little surprised at how quiet the ND online fan base has been about this issue given how revered Quinn is by most domers. I think the kid is a winner and will have a good NFL career if he has some talent around him and stays healthy. I hope this story is accurate and the Browns intend to give him a real chance.

To bad he’s not going to have anyone to throw the ball to. Good luck Brady. We’re all cheering for you.
