Never was much of a Star Trek fan, to be honest. I hated the dated nature of the original series by the time I ever saw it, and "The Next Generation" was insufferable so long as Jonathan Frakes was part of the cast. But I've been a fan of pretty much everything Shattner ever did outside of Star Trek/Sci-fi, this video included...
The Roundup:
- Somehow, I get the feeling the South Bend Police would have blown this out of proportion rather than, you know, drop the case. Hell, if this involved ND players like Clausen, the SBPD would pursue the death penalty. This is largely because they're dicks.
- Very, very good news about a ND commit.
- This is stupid and interesting all at once.
- The American Football Coaches Association, which oversees the Coaches Poll, is thinking about giving a giant "FU" to the "age of transparency." Will it be any fun for Spurrier to rank Duke ahead of ND if nobody knows he's doing it?
- Some pretty interesting predictions on who will still be a HC in the SEC in 5 years.
- BGS provides a cheat sheet on the storylines from the 2009 ND Opponents' spring football sessions.

Was that Shatner performance supposed to be comedy?
Or is this before he started making a career of mocking himself? If I wasn’t so embarrassed for the guy I would piss myself with laughter.

SD, don’t ever be embarrassed for the Shattner because I don’t think he’ll ever be embarrassed for himself. (Which only makes whether or not that rendition of Rocket Man was serious much more of a mystery.)
