A Walmart Wolverine is a self-proclaimed “huge” University of Michigan fan that never attended the University.

Excellent. (And yes. This is mean. I'm mean. I deal with it. So should you.)
Note that the site specifies those who "never attended" UM(s!). Because 80% of the state of Michigan "attended" UM(s!) at one point or another.

i like how it requests that people dont send pics of the less fortunate. aren’t all UM (s!) fans less fortunate? i mean, they’re skunkbears.

I wish that I could lump DTK in this crowd, but 1) I’ve never actually seen him wear UM(s!) gear, despite his infection, 2) He’s from San Fran by way of Canada, so I’m not sure he even know what a WalMart is.

Ya, because we up here in Canada wouldn’t have a clue what a WalMart is. Hell, I just got running water last week. Give your head a shake.

Vic, don’t be offended. There aren’t Wal*Marts in SF (or down here in LA – real estate is too expensive for the business model to work, and the consumers are too ‘fancy’), and DTK has been there a while. Hence, MQ’s joke.

domer, if you like me so much then WTF are you doing posting my x-mas card on your site?
Seriously Vic, don’t be that guy. That guy who proves out the theory that Canadians are so sensitive because deep down they know that it is just a more boring version of North Dakota. Don’t be him.

Vic,
Being a child of Canada myself, I like to think the homeland is too civilized for WalMart. I like to think it’s just one big bastion of Target.

Sorry for being so sensitive boys, my cat just died, my wallet was just stolen, my transmission just blew, I’ve got a leaky roof, etc etc. Can’t we all just get along?????
North Dakota sure sounds like a great place.

Hmmm…doesn’t this smell a little hypocritical considering the large contingent of “subway alums” at ND? I’m an Irish fan, but I didn’t attend school there. Do I have to stop wearing my ND gear now?

MI Irish, do you look like any of the folks in the photos on that site?
We love ND SubAlums. Hell, they probably make up a vast majority of our readers. But we also expect them all to shop at Target.

MI, from our perspective this isn’t about whether or not you went to the school you support (we love all ND fans, alums or no here – it’s Her Loyal Sons, not Her Loyal Alums). It’s about whether or not you’re a sad sad skunkbear fan, alum or no. Every team has fans that can be made fun of for fashion choices – pro or college, hoops or football or soccer, ND or non-ND. It’s just that 99% of Michigan(s!) fans fall into the ‘should be made fun of’ bucket. It’s just for fun. At Michigan (s!)’s expense.

VicPaul,
1000s of years of human history have proven that no. No we cannot just get along.
