I’m not on anyone’s side here. I think they all suck. I’m just observing that Gene is a 7th grade girl. No judgement, just an observation.

I thought I had made a post on this topic? Maybe I didnt hit submit hard enough…

Anyway, my comment was that I tend to side more on the school than on Jagoff. If your employer tells you “if you go interview at another place, you’re going to be fired here,” what does it say if you spit in their face and do it anyway? Throw out the argument of BC standing in the way of a promotion, he was still beholden to THEM and he ignored a directive from his employer. He definitely deserved to be fired.

I don’t blame DeFillipo or BC. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying their moment of squirming in the spotlight, but they are doing the right thing. This is not the behavior you would expect from a 2nd year head coach. Assistants are the ones expected to shop around. But by taking the role of a leader, the head coach needs to demonstrate more substance and a lot more loyalty -to the institution and to the young men he talked into attending Fredo.
