I am out for the week HLS family. Will be visiting family back in the cold out east, drinking beers, hanging with old buds, drinking beers, giving gifts, drinking beers, sleeping in, drinking beers and watching sad bowl streaks end while drinking beers. In my mind, you can’t go wrong with the “Very Red Christmas”, with the complete USSR theme.

And good Lord, how many Dillon blogs are out there? You, us, Section 29… I mean, it comes as no surprise, of course. You don’t exactly expect the semi-literate knuckle-dragging inhabitants of Alumni to publish anything more advanced than a crude stick figure drawn on a sheet of TP. But still, we rule.

I really don’t want to go down this road. But. Te’o recently became an Eagle Scout. Did anyone else wonder out loud how hard it will be to tear this man away from Provo? I wonder if the article included anything about how elaborate his halloween costume was. Every thing I read about this kids home life makes it sound more and more like it will be very tough tearing him away from the LDS. Convincing someone not to go to BYU is not like convincing someone not to go to Florida. It literally means asking them to go against their religious community. 97% of BYU males go on a mission trip, I’m not sure of the math but I’m pretty sure that number at ND is hovering around…oh, say 0. They actually call this place the Lord’s University. I guess I’m just having some doubts we’re going to be able to convince someone Our Lady is better than his Lord.

Wow, that’s elaborate. When I lived in Dillon, one of the sections covered the walls in tin foil, set up a strobe light, and called it “Epilepsy Alley.” Not sure what it had to do with Christmas, but it was hilarious.

We went with a hurricane theme and literally destroyed our section. Knocked out all the ceiling tiles, threw furniture and trash everyhwere, and blasted the Scorpions’ “Rock You Like A Hurricane” all night. The cleaning staff was not amused.
