Friday Round-Up: The “We Want MQ Back” Edition

The Biscuit

So MQ is sick (wuss) again.  So sick (wussy-boy!)  that he can’t write a little round-up, so you’re stuck with me.  Yes, that’s bad for everybody.  Especially because it’s almost 4pm on the West Siiiiide and that means 2 things.  1) Happy Hour starts soon and 2) Short-barely-existent Round-Up (bc of Happy Hour).

Off we go, sick-boy (you woman).

  • Notre Dame Fans are freaking out.
  • Navy Fans think they have a shot.  And they’re right in that if ND’s mindset didn’t change over the past week, this COULD be a new streak of 2 years.  For the wrong team.
  • I am seriously seriously hoping this is not the case, because I’d struggle to handle another week of incessant whining.

BOTW!

This week’s beer is Red Seal Ale.  I randomly picked this up the other day and WHAM! (not the band) it is goooooood.  Not a volume beer at all - but 2 or 3 on top of a lighter lager is perfect.

I feel sorry for the (majority of our) readers that are in the midwest and probably don’t have distribution.  But, this Ale has won a TON of awards at the WBC’s each year held in Chi-town, so at the least you know it makes a somewhat annual appearance.  Plus, they offer a handy-dandy “Distributor-Finder” on their web site.  So if you feel like driving to Freeport IL to snag some, go right ahead!

Here’s to hoping I don’t need to down half a case Saturday to just deal.  I’m pretty sure I won’t, this team will be READY.

EDITOR’S NOTE:  First, and most likely last, time Sesame Street makes an appearance along a top-shelf micro-brew in the blogosphere.  Yes?

I wish it were the sniffles. Does Sesame Street have a “The Day Bert and Ernie got Dysentery?”
