Momentum Meter: The Bad Kermit Edition

The Biscuit

Talk trash on my regular feature?  Compare it to an update on a pretty cool show about football that is still a TV SHOW WITH NO RELATIONSHIP TO ND FOOTBALL WHATSOEVER ON A BLOG ABOUT…wait or it…ND FOOTBALL????

You’re just asking for more MM BK, and you got it:   Jag-off Style.

Yep, I’m from Pittsburgh originally and therefore the Eagles’ coach Jeff Jagodzinksi is nothing but a jag-off.  If you don’t get it, that’s fine. (and no, it has nothing to do with what you’re thinking if you don’t get it - you jag-off) Most people aren’t from the burgh and don’t know what warshing is either.

On to the MM!

Coach Jag-off lived off a serious plethora of 5th Year Seniors in a big first year last year, and built up momentum that surpassed Weis in his respective first year…the Jee-ag was on his way again early this year before a 2-loss series that burned a bit of that.    The Eagles squad remains somewhat veteran, but that 46 man class of 5th Year Seniors is gone, so now their average age is below 23 again.  Must be tough.

They retain a bunch of their seniority on the defensive side of the ball - shocker, with that vaunted 10th-ranked D we keep hearing about - and their offense kinda sucks.  Hence, lower-scoring wins against the likes of Rhode Island and losses to teams with the ability to create turnovers (UNC) or teams able to score close to 30 (with the exception of NC State, which just blew it).  ND gave BC a fight last year, with our average starters’ age at 6 vs. their 23, so I’m expecting a good showing this year as their players come down off social security and ours get out of diapers.

Jag-off is riding right around the same level as Weis on the MM - much like The ‘Stache was last week.  We all know how that turned out.  Hoping we don’t get the same story this time around.

There ya go, BK, just for you buddy.  Hope you enjoyed another line graph in your honor.
