Friday Roundup: The “Influenza” Edition

domer.mq

I’m already sick as a dog today. So help me, if the Irish underperform this weekend, my rage will be such that I will be forced to walk around the city and cough without covering my mouth.

The Roundup:

Slow news day. Slow news week. Everything is slow when you are sick. “If you’re gonna be sick, might as well make everyone miserable,” I always say. There is no beer of the week because I’m going to bed before I can think one up, and besides, when you’re sick, there is no beer. Only sadness. And sick. And that gross feeling in the back of your throat as though you’d just gargled swamp water mixed with hate and purple. There may not be a gameday chat either. We’ll see. If there is, then you know I’m still with the living.

Good lord, I thought people who lived in Chicago where tougher than this. This is the level of whining I would expect from some of the USC people I work with.

Slow news day? More like slow MQ day. We picked up a 5 Star WR from a HS whose band’s apples put the ND Band’s apples to shame (according to Scuba Steve down there)!!! The day that results in a slow news day is the day ND comes off its third consecutive NC and recruiting title. 5 star WR stud pimp badass is Irish, yeeee-ah! (Feel better you wuss).
