Also pathetic: Last week Washington started the first drive of the game with a delay of game penalty. It was mind blowing. It was stunning. And if you were a Notre Dame fan, you were just surprised they didn’t also get hit with a penalty for too many men on the field because you know all too well that delay of game penalties to start drives are just part of the game when your coach is Ty Willingham. This is something you know. This is something I know. This is something that most of the college football world does not know.
So, knowing what you know, we ask…

All three candidates failed last week, but the one that came the closest to working was PSU-Michigan, as the Nittany Lions only beat the spread by five points, vs. seven for USF and 27 for Southern Cal.

Well, honestly, I didnt like ANY of the options last week. I voted for the SC one because it was the most likely to happen, not that I had any strong conviction for it.
Yeah. I actually didn’t think any of them would happen, trey. Though I voted for the UM(s!) one. I can’t give people an escape hatch on these every week.
I never really thought SoCal would do it because I didn’t think Pete would be so brazen as to just keep scoring like that. I figured they’d just take a 35 point win.
Never underestimate Pete’s appreciation for the way the BCS system works, or his lack of appreciation for the media’s desire to shame him for it. I have to admit: I sorta like that about him. There’s no way Weis would score 69 unanswered points on an opponent. Not that he couldn’t. I just don’t think he’d do it. I sorta wish he would.
