Mike Anello - 1, Brandon Tate’s Knee - 0

Turns out Mike Anello really is dangerous on kickoffs. The ACC can send all thank you letters to Mike Anello c/o Notre Dame Football Office, Notre Dame, IN 46556.

Editor’s Note For Those Who Need It: We don’t celebrate the injury. We aren’t laughing at the kid. We do hope he gets better. Either give us the benefit of the doubt of being human beings with some semblance of compassion or stop reading our site. We thought it news-worthy that Tate is out. It could well mean the rest of UNC’s season takes a different path from the previous trajectory, which could have a real impact on the perception of the Notre Dame football team in future polls. I hope that spells everything out nicely for the morality police.

I feel bad for the kid - looks like his ACL and MCL are torn, and his eligibility is shot after this year. Bummer for him, hope he can recover and make a run at a training camp next year, but I dont know how good his chances were before the injury…
I’d bet on Tate being drafted. He was probably a first day draft pick before the injury. Probably going to be a 2nd day guy now, but I’ll bet he still gets drafted, so long as the surgery and rehab go well.
i hope so. didnt know he projected as a first guy - assumed him to be middle 2nd day-er or so, but i haven’t seen much of him.
I trust that all members of the Notre Dame family will be praying that Tate enjoys a speedy recovery.
Schultz,
If it would work, I’d pray for him to return to playing next week. I never want a ND opponent to play poorly on a week when ND isn’t playing them (except Washington, of course).
Oh, I agree entirely. May NC win the rest of its games this season!
I just want to share my opinion that this is not a real classy thing to post. Imagine you were Brandon Tate’s parents and I think you’ll see my point. I am sure that Mike Anello is not proud of the fact that the kid is seriously injured, no one should be.
irishfan,
What’s not classy about it? Do you see us celebrating his injury? See us giving Anello an internet high-five?
If you do, you may want to look into ways to improve your cognitive abilities.
i agree with irishfan. “The ACC can send all thank you letters to Mike Anello c/o Notre Dame Football Office, Notre Dame, IN 46556.” that’s not supposed to b funny? only someone with none would fail to understand “What’s not classy about it”
qb, it’s not. I can’t speak for MQ directly, but the problem with the internets and the written word is that tone is sometimes tough to get. DomerMQ was not saying that with tongue-in-cheek or with laughter in the background. He was saying it with a straight face, but he also understands the stark reality of the situation - that the rest of the ACC will gain significantly from UNC’s loss of this player.
qb, really, you should maybe just read the words and not jump to conclusions about what may be implied. Biscuit gets it right. Tate being out for the rest of the season has major implications in the race for the ACC championship.
Good lord, some people are so high-sprung they can’t be bothered with giving anyone the benefit of the doubt before they leap into righteous indignation. Get a grip. Why on earth would I celebrate a kid’s injury?
ok guys. i stand corrected and I am glad to be.
Sorry to jump down your throat, qb. I just get a little freakydeaky when people start accusing me of celebrating an injury.
Nice try domer, I know you for the spiteful SOB you really are. You’re not fooling me.
