Friday Roundup: The “Evening” Edition

Sorry I’m late. It’s practically quitting time for you east-coasters, or, as I like to call you, “41% of our readership.”

The Roundup:
- You’ve already read this, and don’t worry. I didn’t get the “Captain Insano” thing either.
- That’s funny. I don’t remember Pete ever benching Reggie Bush.
- Well, it certainly didn’t look like some highly touted offensive system either.
- Apparently Kansas isn’t worried about the football gameday experience being “family friendly.”
Slow news day/week. I guess we’re all just standing around, watching credit default swaps annihilate our investments.
Anyhoo, this week’s beer of the week is Budweiser American Ale because Biscuit is stuck in St. Louis, Budweiser makes this stuff, and St. Louis people seem obsessed with drinking Bud products. So, ummm… If you somehow don’t have any of that in your fridge, and don’t want to, then might I recommend New Holland Brewing’s Ichabod Pumpkin Ale? I do so because, well, that’s what I’m drinking since 3pm is the new 5pm, and that’s all that really comes to mind at the moment. Dang is it delicious. It’s like dessert that you can drink with your steak.
Finally, I plan to kick off gameday chat late this evening/early tomorrow. Hopefully you can drop by and say hello.

You’re drinking at 3PM? We have to talk some time about how our career paths forked to allow you to do that. I have a 5-6 PM meeting, on a Friday, that isn’t even at a bar and you’re out there drinking Pumpkin flavored beer?
It’s a little thing I like to call “working from home,” DTK. And a little Friday beverage helps get the creative juices flowing. My latest site design will blow some minds.

Dude, I just checked into our hotel, waiting for people to get ready to go to the rehearsal dinner. The BOTW is perfect-guess what was in our ‘welcome bag’ at the front desk? Yep, 2 cans of bud. Hilarious.
Biscuit, I hope you shotgunned those, only way to drink the “King”.
St. Louis-ians are a different breed. People in Milwaukee love their Miller, but will not try and convince you that it’s better than obviously superior, usually non-mass-produced brews. They’ll just convince you that Miller is the best mass-produced stuff. St. Louis-ians will fight you to the death over Bud vs. anything.
I play hockey with a Bud rep, and he goes insane if you even insinuate you drink anything else.
Ugh. I am wasted on hhorrible horrible bud light. Flip cup with frat boy fathers is brutal. Thank god I didn’t go to illinois (bring the noise). Let’s go arsh!!!!
