This week I have spent a lot of time trying to drum (hilarious pun! most exciting thing to happen all week guaranteed!!!!!!!!!!!) up topics to write about here on HLS. I came up with a ton of options:
- Recitation of Geometric Proofs
- Flossing Techniques: Forehand vs. Backhand analysis
- Slug Racing
- Junior High Civics Class
- Golden Girl Re-run Marathon: Friend or Foe?
- Purdue Football
But, in the end, they're all just way too boring to spend time on. Ah well...
Anything else out there that's as boring as the Boilermaker program? Anyone?

Given this and the previous hilarious Bennigan’s post, I think that the real question around South Bend should be if the local Old Country Buffets are handicap accessible in order for Fat Charlie to eat.
Adidas certainly doesn’t want to lose its model for those size 54 waist khaki pants.

Jim, you mock our wit and say Charlie is Fat? Give me a braek. And The Truth, I’ll agree with you on Powlus’ NFL career. That could certainly be in that list. Same with Davie, but you should really expand that to include “The Life of Bob Davie as a Head Coach/ESPN Commentator”. We’re all for that. Your bowl game one is laughable though. ND has been involved in more exciting bowl games in that period than Purdue has. Ever. And that’s during one of the LEAST successful periods in ND football history. You just proved my point, again for me. Thanks.

You said ‘exciting’, not that ND won. Purdue education at its finest. If you think ND winning = exciting, aren’t you rooting for the wrong team? Thanks for the reminder that we didn’t win those games. I’m pretty sure everyone here forgot. How’s Purdue fared in the big televen recently? Lots of division championships adorning the walls right? So many there’s no room left? No? Shocking.

Burbank Steve, that’s the #1 ranked ND women’s soccer team. And given how loaded that team is, I would bet that there actually is some serious competition in their practices. There are players coming off the bench (Fowlkes, Weissenhofer for two) who would start for just about any other team in the country.

Craig and Burbank. From experience, I know this can be done. I grew up a soccer player, and was a kicker at ND for all of a semester. But, it takes a lot of changes in technique, and a bunch of discipline to change to kicking a football. And it’s much harder if you keep playing soccer to do so. I wouldn’t doubt that CW asked some of the guys on the ND soccer squad to try it out. It’s a transition that can be made. But it’s not all that easy to do so.

J Money. 10000% yes. Why? Because we have the most national championships in the country. It is solid – it means that not only can your program NOT win an NC, you can’t even beat 10 other teams. Just TEN. C’mon now – at least a few times, that should be possible. Especially when a few of them don’t even count as real football programs…wait, oops, Purdue might actually be in that bucket.
