You’re So Predictable: Bye Week Recoveries
domer.mq
Last week, we asked you which team would rebound from a tough loss, and y’all seemed to go with the easy pick: Fresno State over Toledo, but it took a 55-54 OT win for the Bulldogs to prove you right. This week, we’ll try to make the question a bit more challenging.
Both Washington and Michigan (sucks!) haven’t played a game since September 13th, allowing them to stew in their loss juices for 2 full weeks before they get to hit someone from a different locker room. Michigan (sucks!) has to be wondering just what they’ve got on their hands, losing to a ND team that can’t seem to run against anybody but them. Washington has to be wondering what’s coming their way. Willingham, somehow, survived the bye week and looks like he’ll survive the season. Can they use the bye week to regroup and begin the work to save their coach’s job? Do they want to?
Which team will use the bye week to their advantage and pull off a win this week?
- Washington (haha!) vs a 2-2 Stanford (77%, 99 Votes)
- Michigan (sucks!) at #9 Wisconsin (22%, 28 Votes)

Hey boys,
I believe those are games on the docket for Saturday October, 4. Michigan (sucks!) visits ‘Sconny this weekend.
Geez, you’re right. Stupid internets. Stupid me.
Oh well, poll edited. Thanks for the heads-up.
And the second-most-popular choice, Purdue over CMU, also was a squeaker.
This is comical. I cant tell you how many nd fan’s comments I have read that imply State was lucky to win the game and if nd had only not done this or done that, they would have won. Ridiculous. If Hoyer hits a wide-open reciever in the 3rd quarter, he is gone and the score ends up 30-7. He didn’t and so the score didn’t. Or that Ringer was no good except for his 63-yard run. LOL Never mind all of the first downs he had gotten for State on shorter runs. Oh that’s right, nd was “keeping him in check” at that point. Face it, you lost to a team that outplayed you and wanted it more.
You also gotta love the prayer in the opposing team’s end zone before the game….attended by only HALF the team. Tell me that wasn’t scripted. Just wanna know why they weren’t down there praying AFTER the game thanking God for their health, etc. Why? Because it was all for show. Hypocrisy.
One final thought, what is up with the idiotic nd Marching band?! They and the “cheerleaders” (who didn’t lead a single cheer through the whole game but danced in place like night club strippers) mindlessly beat their drums and and danced after every play…INCLUDING BIG ONES BY STATE! LOL Looks like the band director knows as much about football as the coach.
Rob, you couldn’t be more wrong. You’re probably wrong in most of what you do and say in life. For this, I pity you. I never once said on this blog that MSU was ‘lucky’ to win the game. I pointed out plays that particularly hurt our chances of winning. It was a 16-7 game in the 4th quarter - this wasn’t some blowout. And claiming that a bunch of players from NOTRE DAME are praying ‘for show’? Give me a break dude. We have CHURCHES IN OUR DORMS. Complain all you want about the bands. I hope they annoyed you. Tool.
Then how come HALF your team wasn’t praying before the game, and NONE afterward?! LOL
Rob,
I’m glad you felt the need to say the same thing 3 times over. It makes it clear that I’m dealing with an insane person here.
You should do yourself, your family, and the species in general a favor and the next time you’re driving over a big bridge just Crazy-Ivan it over the railing.
Great comeback!
It wasn’t meant as sarcasm, Rob. I’m a big believer in reducing the surplus population.
Even better. Wow, what creativity. I’ll say an nd prayer for you….better yet….have half your team say it for you. Just make sure its BEFORE the game! LOL
Oh Rob, you mentally impotent waste of natural resources, we’re all just laughing at you. You have the same understanding of spirituality as you do of math.
Somewhere, a child is dying because you’re taking up space and resources that they could otherwise use. That child has a chance at a good future, Rob. Why not let that child have a chance?
Rob, since when does everyone at a university have to have the same faith? Heck, i had Jewish friends at Notre Dame. Yes, most are catholic. Not all. And everyone is free to pray whenever they want, even never. If it was for ’show’ as you say, wouldnt ALL of the players have prayed down there together? After all, if it’s for show, they’d want to put on the best show possible right? Some probably prayed the night before, others later in the day, others not at all. Others the entire time the game was going on (see: Polamalu, Troy). Since people can choose their own time/method for prayer, not everyone got down on 1 knee at the same time. And where is the rule that if you pray before a game you have to after? This is madness. Your complete lack of rational logic is beyond me.
[...] Last week, we also saw you, the voters, completely whiff in picking Washington over Michigan (sucks!) as the team most likely to use the Bye…. [...]
