Well, Time To Get Drunk and…

domer.mq

Cry?

First Walls is out for the season, and now HLS’ own pick to be the next Irish AD? Not gonna happen.

SMU released a statment late Friday afternoon saying that Orsini, its athletic director and a captain of the 1977 Irish national championship football team, will remain in his current post.

Gawd Bamn It.

The most disconcerting part of this news isn’t that he’s staying at SMU, it’s that, as we read it, Orsini was never even offered the ND job.

Oy.

This does suck. I thought Orsini was the perfect fit. With the Big East getting a new commish. soon this AD position will very important. Not too worried about Walls. I think we have enough depth to get trough that one.

Also bummed to hear Darrin will not be playing this fall.
If you want a mellow summer drunk, try True Blonde Dubbel from Ska Brewing. If you are looking for a rip-roaring how did I get drunk this fast drunk, try Alpha Kong from Three Floyds.
Darrin is most likely not feeling very good about this situation/decision either.
The upside is sometimes players came back from a sabbatical and play spectacularly. Julius Jones for example. He was absolutely awesome after sitting out a season. It all goes to motivation and desire of the player. Let’s say a prayer and hoist one that Darrin will be back in 2009.
