ND Defensive Backs are Booming
The Biscuit
Over the past few recruiting cycles, ND has been able to pull in some great DB recruits:
- Darrin Walls (4-Star, ‘06) (EDITORS NOTE: Should be a 6-Star, this guy is a shutdown, MONEY DB)
- Raeshon McNeil (4-Star, ‘06)
- Gary Gray (4-Star, ‘07)
- Robert Blanton (4-Star, ‘08)
- Jamoris Slaughter (4-Star, ‘08)
Joining this group today is highly rated DB Marlon Pollard out of California.

Marlon has a great frame to grow into a solid, prototypical shutdown Corner – at 6′1″, 150 or 160 lbs (depends on the source). He rocks a solid 3.5 GPA, and is a 4-Star guy on Rivals/Scout and ranked 12th/18th at the position. Marlon’s a solid athlete, and he’ll have the opportunity to grow into his frame as he fills out during his Senior Year at Valencia.
Marlon had originally pledged to UCLA as a soft verbal, but decided to visit ND late last month. You know, just to check things out. Well, it turns out he really liked what he saw, and firmly committed to Chuck & Co.
Corwin has done an incredible job recruiting since he set foot on campus, and this collection of DB’s is a prime example of this success. Along with this class’ great collection of LB’s to work with TAH-NOO-TA, Corwin and Crew have pulled in a great DB in Mr. Pollard. And who wouldn’t want to play for a great guy like Corwin, that clearly knows the in’s and outs of being a great Defensive Back - his experience as a player and coach in the NFL and college ranks, make him a big plus for ND recruiting in this arena.
Marlon Pollard agrees.
Welcome to ND Marlon. Fantastic choice!
