Jerome Bettis Continues Proud Notre Dame Tradition

Notre Dame prepares students for the real world in ways that other schools just can’t duplicate. For example, ND understands that, in the real world, a great public restroom is one of life’s simpler, but more effective pleasures, capable of ending wars, solving hunger, and answering that whole Hot Burrito by God thing. Or Something.

Anyway, setting an example for domers everywhere, the Notre Dame Main Building (a.k.a. The Golden Dome) won the “Best Public Bathrooms in America” award in 2002, and now one of ND’s most famous sons, Jerome Bettis, is looking to do the same.

PITTSBURGH — The Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36 on Pittsburgh’s North Shore has been chosen as one of 10 finalists for America’s best public restroom.

The grille’s restrooms feature custom marble tile, plus a one-way mirror above the urinals in the men’s room, which lets patrons see out into the bar.

“The lighting is dim, so I guess it’s a comfortable atmosphere for your restroom needs,” said manager Candy Mann.

And the soft lighting isn’t the only feature of the restrooms that are so appealing.

“You can see most of the TVs on the back wall, and all of your friends and relatives,” said entertainment engineer Jake Karan. “You can check on your girlfriend, too.”

Apparently the voters for this award are pervs. Given ND’s previous award, it seems likely that a majority of voters for this award lived in Zahm.

[OH YES! I WENT WITH A STUPID UNDERGRAD JOKE!]

If you’d like to vote for Bettis, and you lived in Zahm, go to www.BestRestroom.com.
