A Call For Help

Help!
For years now, I’ve been lambasting the song, “Here Come The Irish.” Not so much because of its musical merits, but because of what I understood to be the genesis of the song (read: it was commissioned by those concerned with the “branding/marketing” of ND). But I’ve recently been presented with a very different story.
So I turn to you, millions of readers, to set me straight. Either share the “real story” in the comments section, or e-mail us at the address over on the right. I don’t want to spend time blasting away at something that doesn’t deserve it when we live in a world so full of so many and so much that is so deserving.
Muchos Gracias.

i care not whence it came. it fires me up, so it is good.
I happen to like the song. It is a bit trite, but catchy.
I like it too. She’s ugly, but the song is great
It sends chills up my spine. The more beer, the more chills.Ehhh OH Yeah.
Excellent song, but best accompanied with bag pipes and a highlight real. I expect NBC to capitalize on this song before the USC game when the Irish enter the colliseum as the greatest turn around team of the last decade or two.
