Trev Robinson Alberts Likes The Irish

(HT: EDSBS)

Also, over at EDSBS, Orson had this to say about the notion that ND will be back:

Trev thinks Notre Dame recovers this year, which along with Phil Steele picking them as one of his most improved teams means you’ll get the floating head of Tom Hammond haunting your dreams with “WAKE UP THE ECHOES” for only the rest of the offseason.

Orson, for a real nightmare scenario, I give you this to haunt your dreams:

Gawd. If someone beat me over the head with a burlap sack full of infected needles while giving me purple nurples, I’d be enjoying my time more than when I spend it with that song. Quick, someone sing the Chicken Dance so I can get it out of my head.

Also of note: The singer of that song says “Notre Dame” almost as weirdly as Trev does.

Anyway, Trev, you were never that bad a guy, I guess. And I’m sure working for SprintTV will be just as lucrative as that ESPN deal you left, but you might want them to raise the teleprompter a bit, bud.

“Six important victories”? Does that mean he thinks we’ll be going 6-6 this year?

Honestly, I think 6-6 is probably pretty close to what they’re going to do this year.

Ditto. Thinking 8-4 is a home run. 7-5 is a bit above expectations, 6-6 likely. Even with the weakened schedule, we STILL have a really young team and some holes in the lineup. But, I think we have 8-4, 9-3 potential. We’ll just need a few bounces to go our way to get there.

I love this website, but man you are wrong about this song. The lyrics are awesome; when my oldest was two she learned every word. It is a great and motivational song.

Face comes out of hibernation. Whoa.

I think I’d really like the song if I didn’t fully understand the genesis of it. It was not written by someone who just couldn’t contain their excitement for ND. It’s a jingle.

I’m going to be disappointed with a 6-6 mark. Not saying it’s not realistic, but 3-9 was such an under achievement, I feel the Irish are due for a bit of over achievement. 7-4 is my minimal record, and even that will leave a knot in my stomach. 8 wins and I breath easier. I really believe this team has the talent for 9 wins. I also really believe it’s got the coaching. It’s a matter of getting all the disparate parts in synch.

So let’s hear it for Little Lebowski’s Urban Achievers.

Just noticed that myself, Adam.

Does Phil enjoy the peyote?

If the video worked, I would comment on the song. But its ‘no longer available’. I’m gonna go with “i actually like that song” just based on MQ’s taste in music.
