Fighting Irish to Play for National Championship!!!

The Biscuit

Notre Dame defeats Michigan 5-4 to move from the Frozen Four into the Finals.

As you can tell from my post below, I’ve been an Irish Hockey fan for a long, long time.  And it’s great to see these boys’ hard work and dedication (and my long-term following) finally pay off in a trip to the big game (The Frozen Two?).

They took on a bitchy little heavily favored Michigan (sucks!) team and put them skunk bears in their place.  The Irish won in a nailbiter in OT after finishing regulation tied 4-4.

Congrats boys, here’s to one more!

That game was absolutely incredible. Is this the biggest Cinderella story in NCAA hockey history?

I just finished watching this one this morning. I DVRed it so I could catch the Red Wings whoop the Preds in their playoff game. WOW what a performance. Irish outplayed the Skunks in this one. Came out flying with 3 goals to open it. Then scUM decided to turn it up and started skating circles around the Irish to catch up twice, 3-3 and 4-4. 6:00 or so into OT, the Swede bangs in a rebound of a great slapper from the blue line. Great win Irish! Go spank Fredo in the Champeenship!
