The scene outside the new stadium is a corporate sponsored wasteland a la Applebees and TGI Fridays. Downtown Tempe still has the college town 'feel' to it (probabaly due to the proximity to ASU). And they know how to freakin' provide parking unlike Glendale. But you're right the New Year's block party in Tempe is a lot of fun, and the Insight Bowl still resides in Sun Devil Stadium.
