Friday Roundup: The “Who Are My Neighbors?” Edition

In case you don’t interact with humanity much these days, don’t have kids, and don’t look at a calendar much, it was Halloween on Wednesday. I get pretty amped about Halloween. One of my ancestors was hanged for witchcraft after she “placed a pox upon the cattle” near Salem, MA. Apparently they were so busy killing off witches back then, they didn’t want to waste firewood, so they were going with reusable items like rope to do their witch-killin’. Those Puritans, so green!

Anyway, I was pretty excited to see all the kids in our ‘hood in their costumes. Had some high-quality Reese’s PB Cups at the ready (none of those lame sweet tarts!). And I got… not a single visitor. I could see kids running up and down the street, trick or treating, but not a single one came to our place. Granted, we’re the only multi-unit building on the block, so maybe kids don’t trick or treat at those, but I’m going to be checking into what sort of registries the people in the units below me might be registered in today just to make sure.

The Roundup:

  • How did Golden Tate not make this list?
  • This is what happens when white trash assaults rednecks. Or is it the other way around?
  • Hey! I knew this guy!
  • Michael Rothstein says we ND grads work “cushy corporate careers.” Clearly he’s never seen Office Space.
  • Remember how we sort of said Georgia Tech could be a top-10 team after they blew ND out? Well, we didn’t realize ND was really that bad, and we also didn’t realize Chan Gailey is also that bad.
  • And, finally, ew.
