Not one recruit signed by the skunk weasels was sought after by ND. In other words, they got NONE of the guys we were after, but we got eight they had offered. Pretty good work!

This recruiting surge is AMAZING. I was thinking after I read the article, “You know, Skunkbear fans have to really be getting ticked about us stealing all their recruits.” I mean, in the past two or three weeks, how many times have we seen “xxx player chose ND over Michigan, et al?” I havent once seen, “Player xxx chooses scUM over ND.” This is great news.

I also thought it was very interesting where Slaughter told the reporter that Corwin Brown said if ND had recruited him that he would have chosen us over ND. I would think that would stick in a players mind big time. The guy knows both schools coming after you, and knowing what he knows now, he’d choose ND. Kinda makes you thinkg what would make an ALUM turn his back on his alma mater.

Ethan Johnson did commit to the Irish today. At 265 lbs. he may be a DE in the 4-3 rather than a NT, but if he’s anywhere as good as his hype, he should be a standout.

I read on the michigan blog that Ethan Johnson, DL 5 star recruit from Portland, OR, is going to commit to ND. Also, the same was reported in today’s Chicago Sun Times. He’s supposed to be a very sought after recruit….another 5 star Dl would be a great addition.

I know ND has been aggressive in going after Ethan Johnson, and this would be a good “get.”

Agree with Biscuit that ND will still focus on OL/DL and LB, my point was that I would really like to see some more depth aw WR. The kid from Minn. is really heavily recruited and would be an instant success. I think his name is Floyd.

I’m really happy with this recruiting class so far. I say “so far” because I don’t think we’re done yet.

So far….7 on offense, 9 on defense. On defense, we got 2 DB’s, 3 DT’s, 1 DE, and 3 LB’s.

Now….I think we just need one or two WR’s to go with the outstanding crop of TE’s and the continuing stockpile of QB’s.

Life is good.

Corwin Brown and C-dub are EN FUEGO. we close to 2 tall/top tier WR’s in this class and i call it #1 in the nation. and certainly the perfect class to fulfill our needs.
