The rumors of Weis consulting Rich Rodriquez about his spread option attach are very intriguing. If we ran our base offense with Clausen as the QB most of the game, but sprinkled in a series or two with Double D in the shotgun with Armando Allen next to him ala Steve Slaton and Patrick White we could really put some pressure on the defense. Not to mention the additional practice time opposing defenses would have to take to prepare for it. Charlie Weis knows the pro offense inside and out, but I think he's still learning the college game and working on tweaking and adapting his offense to college football.

Fellas, can we stay on topic with what really matters? We still don't know if Weis will implement the spread offense!

If Charlie would have announced he was having open try-outs for the QB position this weekend, I'd be both happy and in South Bend.

i take it you're not a supporter of a time table in iraq? maybe we should implement a surge of quarterbacks right now.
