Cleveland Now 21.84% Less Lame

Cleveland saw a major, positive swing in their cool factor when Notre Dame alum Brady Quinn took to the Cleveland Browns' Practice Field for the first time this weekend.

"We've very excited to have Brady in our fine city, and very pleased with the results thus far," said Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson.  "We haven't seen such an increase in our city's morale or cool factor since the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Of course, that was a total wash what with the induction of Steely Dan not long ago.  Most think The Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach is cooler now."

Brady showed a little bit of off-season rust during his first practice, but enjoyed himself quite a bit.

"I had too much fun out there," he said. "I think the practice was too short for me. I've been waiting so long for this opportunity, and now it's come."

Meanwhile, the Raiders held their first rookie practice as well.  Local schools and elderly homes in the area were preemptively evacuated.  Said ESPN's John Clayton:

Aside from Kiffin's youthful approach to the practices, all eyes were on first-round choice JaMarcus Russell. The 6-foot-5 LSU quarterback has a rifle for an arm. Though many of his passes may not have gone to the right spot, Russell wowed teammates and observers with tight spirals that looked as though they were fired out of a bazooka.

Thus far no injuries have been reported.  Yet.
