I don't think it's Jimmy's dad that wants him to succeed where his brothers didn't, but rather Jimmy wanting to make it to the NFL because he saw first hand the pain his brother went through when he wasn't drafted. You can't blame Mr. Clausen for being a little protective, Jimmy is under heavy scrutiny by the media.

Demetrius says that he's not worried about Jimmy Clausen, but I'm getting an uneasy feeling about that young man.

Most of the unease comes from the fact that his father seems very hands-on - from buying the house near campus for his kid so that he's got somewhere to "hide out", to telling the Chicago Sun-Times that Jimmy's not fully-fit for Spring Training even though CW says that there's no problem.

I hope he gets out of the kid's way sometime soon. I don't see Clausen being an ND student-athlete when he's being ridden by his dad, who seems to want to make up for Jimmy's siblings not getting as far as he wanted them to. It's not all about the NFL at Notre Dame.

Demetrius gets my vote as starter right now.
