Shark Impresses as Cubs Pitcher, Doesn’t Enter DL, Yet.

Shark threw 8 pitches against Oakland in Spring Training Baseball yesterday with his fastball averaging 97 miles per hour. Meaning the ball was traveling at 3 times the speed of my batting cage preference. Also, the ball was probably thrown overhand, further separating Shark's pitching ability from my hitting ability. You know what? F-it. You take my tokens. I'm gonna get an elephant ear. Want something? A Sprite, maybe?

Said Lou "I Keep My Wallet On A Chain, F&*(ers" Piniella:

"That was impressive," Cubs manager Lou Piniella told Carrie Muskat of MLB.com. "You can tell that this young man has played in front of 80,000 fans before."

"This crowd didn't bother him at all. He faced the middle of this Oakland lineup, he went right after (Eric) Chavez and a couple other left-handed hitters, and I think he was having fun out there, which is really important. It's going to be exciting for him."
