It makes you wonder about the long-term commitment of Mr. Smith when he says that he hasn't had time to work out much. The Haters WILL pile on BQ for his decision, and conveniently ignore the fact that Troy Smith made the same decision, but his was based on the fact that he’s been troughing out on the “banquet circuit” for the last few weeks and apparently looks more like the Michelin Man than a Heisman-winning top QB prospect.

Some owners are idiots. Others (like the amazing Rooney family of the Pittsburgh Steelers) are not. And I said owners/scouts. And what I meant is that clubs will take the best player they can get based on their perceived position need. BQ will drop only if a team 1) Doesn't need a QB or 2) Thinks another QB is better. Either can happen, but my main point is that when/where Quinn works out will not impact that perception, even though the Haters and the Media will certainly pile on BQ and say that it will. I think they are. They will draft players they don't need. That makes them idiots. Brady, if he is lucky will drop to the Miami or later position. that way he can go to a team that can develop him. if he goes early, oakland or detroit, he will be thrust into a situation that is not winnable. if he chooses to work out on Sunday, he will do just as well, but I think it is smart to workout at the ND pro day. more relaxed, more time and more attention.
