What is the Genius doing?? Exactly what he should be. He's builing a base. But it's a base not like any other in college football (although Michigan is the closest). It has a geographic aspect to it, but the geography is not a specific state. It is, for lack of a better term, the "Rust Belt" -- Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, with Minnesota, Iowa, and Kentucky/Tennessee sprinkled in. The invites for his coaching clinic read like a who's who for high school coaches in these areas. Look at his latest assitant coaching hires: Ron Powlus isn't that far removed for PA high school, and his name carries cache. Corwin Brown has already proven his name opens doors in Illinios, specifically Chicago. The dividends from these connections will pay off more as years go by.
