I'd give out another Blind Squirrels/Big Nuts award to Terry Bowden for this, but I'm not feeling very generous. Besides, I tried to read it without hearing his voice in my head, and that's impossible. I once had a finance professor who had a distaste for clipping his fingernails and a penchant for writing on chalk boards. Terry Bowden's voice reminds me of that man's class.
The story itself is funny, but I think a larger lesson can be learned about college football recruiting here: By and large, 17 year old boys are pretty stupid. I mean, who really believes the sort of crap Terry was feeding this kid?
